I am currently a Swamp shared hosting customer and was thinking of upgrading to a reseller account. I would start with a Silver account (in order to cover my own needs) and I was looking for feedback from other resellers. Basic questions like:
Did you have all your customers already or you went hunting and advertized a lot to get more? How many customers where you shooting for? If you reached the target, how long did it take you to get there? Was that faster or slower than you would have imagined? How much time to spend, on average, dealing with webhosting issues? I have a lot of expience with web hosting (the technical aspects) but not with the business and/or marketing aspects of the game. Any feedback, public and/or private, would be greatly appreciated. Hi,
am not a large reseller with hundreds of customers, just a small one. Basically I provide a reliable web hosting to my customers both for normal sites or e-commerce. M not that good either when it comes to marketing but I've found out that the best marketing is done by your own customers who talk to others. As far as my experience goes it's extremely unlikely a customer will choose me through internet. Even an interested customer would usually be stoped by the question: 'can i trust him?' But if you offer a reliable service it pays over time. Think, you were to tell a friend of yours you have subscribed with HG and you are well pleased with their service wouldn't that be much moreeffective that any commercial? Regards, DDD |
