I was just looking for something to write about tonight and thought I had an interesting question for you all. I was wondering what you first webpage was about. For instance, my first site ever was hosted on tripod.com. The title of the site was "wild wavs" This was something like 15 years ago, long before MP3s. The site contained several hundred custom made .wav files taken from TV shows, movies, songs and so forth. It got good reviews from people who visited it. Not sure why I ever quit. Oh now I remember, it got hacked and I did not have a backup of my site. Learned that lesson the hard way. So what was your first site about and how long ago?

My first site was about a Car Club based here in Cebu, Philippines. Started that about a little over 3 years ago. I am very happy that until now the website is still up and running.

My first site was hosted on the 2mb of webspace my dialup provider gave me with the account in 1995. It was about the grunge rock bands I listened to and it had some sweet midi files, blinking and scrolling text and all that jazz.

Don't laugh, nearly ten years ago when I was 8, (I'm 17 now) I made a website using freeservers on a template. I tried to sell muffins (lolwtf) and had loads of other random shiz, including, a script for something I never did in the end, and a whole load of random links...
Three years ago, I remembered this, but trouble is, my email has changed an uncountable amount of times over the past few years, and I have been unable to login ever since, and take it down! oh well, i guess it's a laugh... Until SOPA hunts me down for a photo I put on it... Link: http://mrmuffin.4t.com/index.html Now to try to remember the password again... >< |

My first website was started about 6 years ago when i was 59 yrs old, started off as a fun blog, then everything changed and it became an attempted crusade against my ex employers, it has not been touched since then, although I am always planning to go back to it and get some semblance of order, and add stories. www.brimor.co.uk

I remember having 2mb of space on my shell account that came with my dial up account (2400 baud).
I think it was cloudnet.net/~laudenbach. Too bad Way Back Machine does not go that far back. Mark |

Mine was basically a personal blog. I don't remember which site it was hosted on.

My first site was not hosted by HostGator, so I don't want to talk about it.

Another former geocities user here. My site was just a bunch of random stuff: links to website I liked, animated gifs, a guest book, etc. It was a mess. I still have the HTML quick reference book "with new HTML 3.2 features" on my desk that I used back then.
