Negative A year and a half experience

From the very beginning it was really good with HostGator, I should admit. But about a year later problems began.

1. Live support at the moment is not support at all since for any question the only answer you can get is "Please, e-mail to ..."

2. Ticket support either don't work at all or their work is really slow.

3. A huge amount of technical problems began. Previously we had 4 servers with HostGator, but we had to move two of them to another hosting provider. Now we have only two, but it looks like we'll have to move these two servers somewhere else.

4. When in Houston datacenter there was an outage, they promiced a month of free hosting. We were waiting for more than a month, and nobody provided us with the offered free service.

5. Besides, we started experiencing financial problems with HostGator. For two times they took money twice for the same invoice. When it happened first time, they offered to leave this money as a payment for the next month. However, they didn't use it, and chanrged our card in the regular order.
When it happened for the second time, we started thinking that it's not a mistake but HostGator's policy, probably, to keep clients with them since their service is going from bad to worse.

So, I have questions to HostGator administration.:
1. Why have you deleted my previous review?
2. What about a free month?
3. Will anybody ever answer our ticket FCF-2869605?

Hello,

1. The first review was not deleted, it can still be viewed at: http://forums.hostgator.com/1-5-year...7.html?t=34267

Brent stated the following when we moved the thread:

Quote:
This thread is being moved to the sales forum since it's about us being out of stock on a server not an actual support issue.
2. The credits can still be applied at any time and we are not denying anyone for the h1 outage, you just have to request it by emailing sales[at]hostgator.com

3. Ticket FCF-2869605 was replied to 3.5 hours after it was submitted and I have replied again stating that the refund has been completed.

As far as the "taking money twice" on invoices, if you have a credit card on file and make a manual payment the same day that an invoice is scheduled to batch automatically, it will do this on occasion. If you would like us to clear the credit card on file so all invoices can be paid manually, just let us know. Otherwise we would recommend to just let the automatic payment system pay the invoices.
