Yahoo Groups type program

I know this is not a HG sales question, or maybe it is.. Is there a program that does everything similar to YahooGroups? everyone can reply to it, and it will send out immediate Or digest mails? and for the HG portion, does HG have it already on the site?

I was thinking it would be a mailing list, but I see that the term mailing list is mainly a 1 way connection from owner out to readers not really interactive? What would be the term for what I am looking for?

I guess Mailman (Which is there in your CPanel) can do this

Mailman is an extremely powerful and flexible program. It will allow non-members to post (if you desire) members only, moderate all, or any combination of those. What I really appreciate is that it allows moderation via email! You can also set it to send text only and limit the file size of attachments if any. We have been very sucessful in rolling this program out to our "less tecnical" clients and have received overwhelming positive response. It offers online archives sortable by any number of custom configurations. Prior to mailman we were using servers at our offices to manage an "Arrow" listserv. This proved to be combursome and ineffecient. The flexibility we can now offer our clients is priceless!!
