Default Wordpress Security

Hi folks,

In the Hostgator "QuickInstall", I would love to see an option that would allow me to choose the prefix for the WordPress databases. Apparently this is one of the most important aspects of securing your WordPress installation.

Thanks,

Wil

Just wondering, if you are that concerned about security why are you using "quick install"?

Install WordPress manually, this way you can fine tune your security right from the start

You can always use phpMyAdmin to change the prefix. Google the steps.

Table prefix is not really an important step in security. If someone get to do SQL injection, you are in trouble, no matter what prefix you use.

If you are really concerned about, you can use WP Security Scan plugin or just do it manually as mentioned above. This is no big deal, if you really want it.
