Default Wordpress Network Using Subdomains

I'm interested in the Hatchling plan since I don't need anything fancy. I want to create a small personal website/blog on which I can write about my two interests. Since they are not linked in any way, I'd like to work with subdomains since I think that is better for SEO.

If I can run a small wordpress network using subdomains on the Hatchling plan, I'll sign up this week. I would just like to have it confirmed that this is possible before I sign up.

Set-up I want:

myname.com (displaying 1 page with some static info and info from both subdoms)
interest1.myname.com (a wordpress blog)
interest2.myname.com (another wordpress blog)

Yes, the Hatchling plan lists unlimited subdomains so you would be able to set up WordPress as you describe.

My previous host gave me unlimited subdomains, but since Wordpress couldn't make them upon install, I couldn't run a Wordpress network.

Hence, I would like someone from Hostgator to confirm this to me before making a purchase. It seems a lot easier than signing up for 36 months, making a payment and getting my money refunded after I find out that it doesn't work.

This is a peer support forum. If you want a definitive answer from HG then you should send an email to sales at hostgator dot com and ask there. You should provide more details on exactly what you want to do.

Their external integration is not up yet, but we'll be right there with them. Looking forward to it!yhm20110416
