Default WordPress 2.0.1

Will Fantastico be updated to this version soon? I'm debating whether or not to do a manual install so it would be useful to know if there is any date for 2.0.1 to be added to Fantastico.

best wishes

I believe wordpress 2 is in fantastico, I am not completely sure of the version though. Just email support@hostgator.com with your primary domain and it is possible we can upgrade the version of fantastico for you.

Thanks. Yes WP 2.0 is there. The updated 2.0.1 was released a couple of weeks ago and mainly fixes the sort of bugs that often creep into whole number releases. I'll contact support as you suggest.

Has anyone had any problems doing the update? I have two WordPress 2.0 installations on Hostgator. One offers an automatic update with a link. The other (different server and domain) tells me that I need to do the update but doesn't provide a link. Tech support has suggested that this may be due to customisations I've done manually. However, apart from changing the logo, I haven't made any customisations (no PHP haccks or manual installs). Moreover, on past experience, when Fantastico can't do an auto-update it tells you this and says that you have to do a manual update.

This time, Fantastico tells me it can do the update. But there just isn't a link to click so no way to get the update started!

Although a manual update is no big deal, I'd prefer to stick to Fantastico updates for the simple reason that the more scripts I have to maintain the more of a headache it is to keep them all up to date.

Any hints would be appreciated.

best wishes
