I have a lot of small files and they add up to more than 50,000. As a result, my files arent backup. Only mySQL.
Which is one of the few negative things I have to say about Hostgator. Support is fast and great. |

Hello,
I do apologize that this is a big issue for you, it is clearly outlined in our ToS when signing up however. I understand that is frustrating, but we offer backups as a courtesy and really all backups are the customer's responsibility. That being said, if we allowed all data to be backed up from all clients (some clients reaching into the 100GBs) then it would cause issues on servers when backups were ran. Again I do understand your concern over this it's just something that we have in place for all our customers. I am going to move this to Suggestions. Thank you , Josh Loe System Administrator |
