I'd like to see a Windows VPS option.

I would like to see a Windows VPS option as well. The Windows shared hosting seem OK, but the big problem with it is that the session times out after about 2 or 3 minutes of inactivity by the authenticated user, regardless of the session timeout set in web.config or elsewhere.
![]() Most shared webhosting companies allow the standard of 20 minutes (or longer). I have tried working with HG tech support, but they can't change it. This can be a problem for a user trying to complete a form on one of your webpages. On the flip side, i guess it does keep the servers running faster, and indeed, they are generally pretty responsive. Regardless, I would like to see a Windows VPS option so I could adjust all the settings (or in this case, leave the standard 20 minute session timeout alone). If anyone else is interested in Windows VPS hosting, please add to this thread so that HostGator can see that there is interest. |

I'm still interested. Just as when I started this thread. I see no response from HG though.

I did ask tech support about 6 months ago, and this was the response from one of the Windows System Administrators:

I will just have to wait for a year or two so I won't feel very eager for it. It is better to wait patiently.
