But nothing beats Oracle. Good old (super expensive!) Oracle....I both love it and hate it at the same time.

Im no '*nix boy' but I would also back the theory that *nix is better on a server environment.

Having said that, I do also have Windows based clients and am very happy to see that HG will be serving up Windows based hosting! I have heard speak of dedicated and shared Windows hosting (and the web site backs this). However, why oh why are there no Reseller Windows Hosting options???

What do you mean by "Windows based clients" ?

A little vague there, sorry; I mean clients that require ASP.NET and MsSQL. I also have ColdFusion clients and I believe the CF server runs on Windows as well so that would also fall under 'Windows based clients' I suppose

I had re-asked about the plans for reseller hosting which are still there. Just no ETA. It beats the March of 2007 deadline as I hate dates that come and go without results

My beta account is still announcing closure at Jan 15 so guess it was passed over when the extentions to the 1st were added.

Not sure if that would help any as I was told they will be comparable to the Linux plans, and the last reply said they will be the same price if that helps. Shared should be available around the first

I probably sound like an impatient brat, but I would really like to know if/when Windows Reseller solutions will come into play? I am in the market to choose a new windows reseller provider and I could either 'stick it out' for HG to come live with these options, or go to a competitor like ResellerZoom or something.

Sorry to say, but you should stick it out for now as I was told recently that they will come but no date for it. I prefer that then "It will be available March 2007" and it finally arrives in 2008.

I am waiting as well. I have an account with WebHost4Life that expires on 3-6-2008, so I hope it is before the end of this month. I did ask, and you can move from a Linux to a Windows account, so I have already purchased one account under Linux that I plan on moving to the comparable Windows plan. I need to my my current plan mostly for email purposes, as I have a number of email accounts that I will need to transfer over. I would hate to have to transfer twice.
