I just put up a link to a pdf which seems to work fine for me. The link is the *New Items Menu* right at the top of the menu here: http://www.truethairestaurant.com/menu.htm.
When someone else clicked the same link they got a 404 page and this was in the address bar: http://www.truethairestaurant.com/pdf%5Cnewitems.pdf. The same thing happened with a link to another website also. I don't get it. What's going on? I've never had this happen before the last couple of weeks. Thanks. |

Its changing the / into the encoded form.
Try a more specific link, such as /pdf/menu.pdf |

Thanks. I had a backslash in the link which I changed to a forward slash. I use a little program that copies the path of a file and it must put backslashes in. It works now.

Anytime you see % sign in a link, that is trouble. People tend to code PDF files with real names, like "My PDF.pdf" That space in the file name can be a problem to, as it would look like "My%20PDF.pdf" in a link
