Ok, I tried to find an answer but gave up and thought I'd ask. I have WHMCS set up to get the information about a package (say bandwidth and quota) from my WHM configuration.
Q: Is this the right thing to do or should I override the WHM package information with WHMCS module settings. I am leaning towards controlling it all from WHMCS so that I can play with package add-ons. The additional nice thing is that I can then query the DB for package information and dynamically present it on my front page. Thanks in advance (and I hope it makes sense). |

ok, Why? I know this is what the popular approach is, but why not have whmcs manage the details of the package?
2nd, how would you provide package add-ons such as more email or more disk? |

I can never get my packages to work from WHM. I have had to fill out the info below the package area and have it create the site.

Hi, I'm not sure if you are still having this issue but for the benefit of others I found that you must put your cpanel user name first in the 'package name' field i.e username_packagename in order for it to work properly... Cheers |

I also recommend just adding the username and setting up the settings in WHM rather than WHMCS. If it doesn't work double check that you've copied the whole package name including your username under "edit packages" in WHM. Jack

If anyone can provide some guidance on how to get the WHM Packages to come up on the new WHMCS, this would be great. I have tried, but the information stays the same and does not pull the data. Where would I go in WHMCS for it to be able to communicate with WHM? Any advice would be helpful!
Thanks. |

I would like to know the exact difference between WHM and WHMCS? What is the advantage of one from the other?
