Default whmcs being offered in a few days

Good news everybody! I have just worked a deal with WHMCS. We hope to be giving out licenses to everyone on monday. Don't hold us to this as we may run a couple days late getting all the licensing in place.

These will be free to you. I on the other hand will need to start eating at cheaper restaurants to help pay for this. =(

Perhaps you should browse the WHMCS forums and see how many users are switching from MB due to support issues and problems MB is traveling a rocky road at present.

Same here. v4 worked nice, but after the upgrade to v5, I got so frustrated I went with WHMCS. Nice system.

I love WHMCS V3

I've been upgrading/modify template and code since the day I had it and it does look good and work perfectly. Just a minor bug for the tax I've found today lol

Best Regards,

I guess we could all send you McDonalds gift certificates for Christmas.

Is it to early to start complaining that we didn't get our free license yet? I wish to express my gratitude by moaning and complaining that I didn't get my unsolicited free license on my recently upgraded for free reseller account. I'll open about 20 trouble tickets then complain they didn't get answered.

Or, I'll wait patiently and just say thanks for doing this. It is appreciated.

Better yet, make sure you do this complaining in the customer reviews

Edit: For those not wanting to wait, dload the 15 day trial so you can get a feel for it and set up. You should be able to transfer to your free license when it becomes available. BTW thanks again Brent, I get a 2nd copy so I can get our secondary site up and running quickly.

Just ask chat support for it and Justin replied that he was also believing that it was supposed to be available today but have no more information about it. He suggest to ask at sales@hostgator.com

I was on the whmcs site and see that the features and such are. They have a domain purchase system similar to enom available at no charge listed under the Addons. The new one is Directi no upfront fees and seems a little easier to use. Will this be available once the change happens? Anyone have any experience with Directi? Will we have to request it similar to requesting enom?

You can signup at WHMCS for free, you can just use the API, or the full "SuperSite"

FYI for those testing under V3.3.0 since V3.4.0 was release this morning

For those how have made changes to templates and step orders, I would suggest not making those changes directly to folder called:

Templates > Default, Portal or singlepage

For my application, I have now Default, Portal, singlepage and JBW

I would suggest making a copy of the one you want to make changes to it and name it another name(folder are found under 'template'). You can then choose it the WHMCS Admin under General Configurations > General tabs > Templates drop down list and choose your new folder(in my case JBW).

For the Order forms itself from step 1 to step 4, I would suggest making a copy of the folder you would like to modify and only make changes to the new copied folder(folders are under 'templates > orderforms'). Then to be able to use it, you just need to go to WHMCS Admin > General Configuration > Order Forms tab > Order Form Template.

Just make sure to at least check what have been change like codes has been added to step 3, you should then take a look at it and integrate it to your own branding you did o you don't received errors when making an order.

This could be an issue for some of you since you are maybe testing on V 3.3.0 and now V 3.4.0 has been release this morning. When making the update, it will overwrite your files and changes in the template folder.

Best Regards,

I'm a new HG client and am currently finishing up the configuration of my website. I was considering installing WHM AutoPilot next. Should I pass on that idea and go with the 15 day trial version of WHMCS instead?

If so, can someone please explain exactly how HostGator will supply the licensing for WHMCS? I've got both a reseller and a dedicated account with HG so I want to make sure I get this right the first time.

THANKS

Personally, I would wait. I've used both and I much prefer WHMCS. Others may have had a different opinion when WHMAP was free and you had to pay for WHMCS, but definitely wait for details about CS for sure.

We're still not sure... waiting on more details. All we can assume right now is that it will be similar to the current agreement/setup with WHMAP.
