Default WHMAutopilot - HELP!

Hello, we are a Hostgator Reseller (Aluminum) and also have eNom Reseller account and WHMAutopilot (v2.5.5) running. We had Hostgator install WHMAutopilot and it's up and running.

Now I'm trying to setup WHMAutopilot and I'm having some issues. Has anyone else found the process a little tricky? The Autopilot tutorials and manuals seem a little weak. I can't find any information about Client Logins, Ticketing System, and Domain Registration. We want to have domain registrations and hosting packages on our site, but we are getting more lost the more we try to find help. (LOL)(Well, not really LOL).

If anyone can share their Autopilot advice I would be GREATLY appreciative. I am close to abandoning this system. It's taking forever to setup/integrate!

Should we upgrade to v3? Is it stable? Are their skins for Autopilot?

HELP!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Derek

Once you get activated in this forum (email wesley at hostgator dot com if it doesn't happen in a day or so), you'll get access to a sub-forum all about WHMAutopilot that answers all those questions.

Hi slapshotw, thanks for the help. I emailed Wesley so we'll see what happens.

Do you use Autopilot yourself? If so, do you like it? Any suggestions for me?

Cheers,
Derek

I don't use it because I honestly can't stand it (and I think you are starting to see why...). There's a lot of people using it on the forums here, both v2 and v3, but many people have also switched to some others (that aren't free with HG, but worth the price). There's a few threads where people compare systems; WHMCS comes up a lot as being a good one.

If your WHMAP setup can wait a day or two, then wait. No need to frustrate yourself when there's plenty of help in that forum.

Here are few rapid answers to your questions.

- Client Login is done by calling the "clogin.php" script.

- When a client is logged he have access to the ticket system.

- In V2 there is "actually" no way to only register a domain.

P.S. I have to tell that i have made the proper changes in the scripts to enable "domain registration only", "multilingual interface" and other new features...

You will also get a lot of help in the Ap forums in the mean time.

Thanks to everyone for the help. I spent a LOT of time over the weekend trying to get this going....and I'm only now at the integration stage. The whole process (including the very weak tutorials) has left a very bad feeling about this software. I took some of your advice and checked into WHMCS and it *seems far superior and hassle-free. I will try the free download and see how it goes (it can't be any worse).

Thanks!

Hey Evan...thanks so much for offering help with install. I'm currently installing WHMCS to test it out. My WHMAP experience was traumatizing! (lol)

I appreciate the help!
