Which hosting plan do I need?

Hi,

I have an active site with 500 members and many new people signing up everyday. The site runs on Wordpress with lots of plugins, couple hundred articles, pictures, youtube video etc. Plus I get about 1000 hits per day on good days.

Currently, my cpanel says that I'm using 18829.25 in bandwidth and disk space usage is 14571.8. However, I'm not happy with my current host because my site has a lot of downtime and when I ask my host about it they say that my server is having resource shortage problems. "The services are killed by kernel due to memory shortage".

So if I moved to hostgator which hosting plan would be best for my site?

You should be okay with a baby package, unless your plugins create some issue. 1000 hits per day should be okay for a shared hosting account.
