Well, it's been a month and...

Well, it has been exactly one month since I first signed up with HostGator, and I feel I should make a few comments.

HostGator, if you've seen my post on WHT recently, you already know what I think.

Most of the points I can think of about HostGator are positive. They are listed below.

I love the services HostGator provides; they go well beyond any other host.
I love the support; especially e-mail support. I have used live support twice, and was disappointed with it both times. That is alright, though. I have used phone support twice, and was pleased with that.
I've had little downtime, except for those incidents over the last two days with the DDOS attacks on Jetta. That was quite annoying, but I know HostGator did their best to bring all the services on Jetta back up. i think Apache was the only service that was not funcitoning properly.

I must take this opportunity to appologize to support for all of my questions. I have opened a ticket at times for days in a row. I'm very glad support never got annoyed with me.

I think the only thing that needs improving is the quality of response when there is a problem. I don't just want to know that the issue is fixed, but I want to know what was wrong, and basically how it was fixed. I want information to give to my clients.

I'd rate my first month of hosting as a 9 out of 10. Actually, I'll go for a 9.5. I've said it before, and it is still true: I plan on staying with HostGator for a long time to come.

And hopefully soon I can get a dedicated server.
