Those of you who frequently visit our forums will have likely read comments posted by Stef. He may have even helped you at one time or another. Well now he has joined the HostGator staff as our first official "Peer Support Leader".
What is a Peer Support Leader? As we move forward, these forums will work to become your best resource for help with non-critical support questions, and who better to help provide answers to these questions than an actual HostGator customer? Stef has been a HostGator reseller long enough to have figured out the ins and outs of cPanel and WHM himself, and while he may not be able to answer 100% of the questions, his knowledge and experience as a HostGator reseller will help him to help you, which in turn helps HostGator as a company. What about Justin, Brent, and Ben? Will they no longer reply to support questions? Of course we will! The addition of Stef as a Peer Support Leader does not mean that the rest of us can play golf all day, although as Stef and the future Peer Support Team begin to handle things, our roles may shift more towards support for critical issues. Peer Support Team? Will you be hiring others as well? Well, to clarify things just a bit, Stef and future Peer Support Leaders are not on the HostGator payroll as actual employees, so there is not really a "hiring" process, but they are entitled to certain "benefits" as a reward for their service. In addition to Peer Support Leaders, we would like to add a few Peer Support Volunteers, and I will be posting a seperate announcement about this soon. So for now, join me in welcoming Stef to the team. I am sure he will be a great asset to our community. -Justin |
