5 days ago on 9/12/08 i asked for a website transfer i gave the staff everything they could possibly need phpmyadmin, ftp, server access, everything.
9/13/08 Transfers Department says: "I am in process of transferring files to your requested account at hostgator server. I will let you know once it gets completed. I appreciate your patience while it is worked on." 9/13/08 I say: "My nameservers at godaddy.com just updated and are now pointing at the new hostgator server. To prevent confusion within my members i have added a temporary redirect index.html page to the root. I hope everything goes smoothly with the transfer." Side note: I keep changing my nameservers back and forth. I didn't know this would take 5 days. 9/14/08 Transfers Department says: I have finished transferring files to your account �halotracks.org� at hostgator server. I am unable to move the database using the phpmyadmin login details you provided. Side note: looking at files about half (about every other file) of them are not transferred over. 9/14/08 I say: I just double checked and i was able to login with those exact details. The password is case sensitive and should be (CAPITAL) * (lowercase) *****. I just tried that on IE and FF and it worked both times. Side note: wow i wonder whats going on he says he is going to do something then doesn't follow threw. And why didn't he copy and past the password when it had caps letters and no caps letters. 9/15/08 Transfers Department says: I am in process of transferring database to your account at hostgator server. I will let you know once it gets completed. Side note: Ok i guess he typed in the password right this time. 9/16/08 Transfers Department says: I am in process of transferring some of the files from your old host server and will let you know once it gets completed. Side note: W0000t i thought you already did this.... i guess i was right before only half of the files got transferred. I think if you say your about to do something you should do it right there and not sit on it for a couple of days. Another side note: I payed another $50 at my old hosting because website cant be transferred in 4 days. 9/17/08 Transfers Department finished website transfer! Or did they? Hurray He finished!!! I change my name servers at godaddy and waited. As soon as they updated i was on it. I had been refreshing the page...Page loading..... WHAT THE ****!!!! ![]() Website loaded right. But why dose it seem like it teleported back in time? How did i lose 5,000 members? How did i lose 30,000+ posts? Why is my website on the old theme. Is this a joke? Look at this from a members point of view. Website is closed for 5 days and when it finally comes back they find that its back in time by a couple of months. Most cant even login because there account is not even there. Right now i have people emailing me and calling me asking whats up. This is ridicules and i need a solution asap. All other services have been great to me. Fast and they know what they are talking about. The only service that ____ is the transfers department. I really don't want to make a reply to the transfers department because well as seen above i wont get a reply till tomorrow or the next day. I'm sorry that your transfer didn't go as expected. It definitely should not have been such a long and strenuous process.
With that in mind, what's your transfer ticket number? I'll check into it myself and ask one of our senior administrators to check into the technical aspect of it as well.

Ok I just added a reply to my ticket and this is what i said:
Hello, There seams to be a problem with the databases when I updated the name servers my forum teleported back in time. 90% of the posts and members were not there. I tried reuploading the mysql database myself and failed. Could you please reupload the databases. 2 hours later Transfers Department replied: Hello, I am looking into this issue for you and should have an update for you shortly. |

I've contacted one of our senior transfers department employees that will be handling this now as it seems to be an issue with MySQL permissions and/or credentials. Thanks again for your patience this should be fully resolved shortly.

I checked into the ticket again and it looks like our transfers department has addressed the major issues and is working on resolving the minor remaining issues. Transfers can occasionally be a tricky thing and sometimes don't go as well as they should.
