Webinars / Open Sessions?

An idea I had was to have some sort of open session / webinar where people could come in and chat at a pre-determined time and ask questions about HostGator, get tips and advice on how to get the most out of their accounts, and just get to know some of the employees at HostGator.

We do a lot of these things via our Twitter account, which has been extremely successful. I figured it might be interesting to do some of it in real time as well.

We could do them entirely over chat or have a system where the HostGator employees participating can talk and people ask their questions / comment via an IM-like interface. There are plenty of options and we'd definitely do a few of them at different times so people in as many timezones as possible could participate.

What do you think? Is it something you'd participate in and/or something you think others (including yourself) might find interesting or valuable?

This would be awesome! You should do something like this or open up an irc chat for users/staff to talk amongst themselves.

Fabulous idea! reading documentation is one thing, but being able to discuss it, learn tips and tricks would be valuable for the user and hostgator - Ummmm lower support tickets? But the real value is customer relations, working side-by-side with everyone. I love two way streets.
