Hello,
Does anyone know of a good web calendar application that also supports CalDav / WebDav or any other integration with Thunderbird Lightning? I would like to install it on my shared hosting account for personal and family use. Thanks. Last edited by nycvictor; 05-14-2010 at 12:36 PM. |

Google Calendar via Google Apps with your domain name should suffice.

I've never used caldav before, but I think I would try Google Calendar first. Here is a link to set up Google Calendar/Sunbird/CalDav

Thanks for the idea! I've been using Yahoo calendar with Lightning for about 6 years now. My main reason for asking that question was to stop being dependent on a third party. If Google is the only alternative, I'd rather stay with Yahoo and not move anything.

I would also like to have some CalDAV software. I don't want to use Google or Yahoo; I want my own, under my control, on my own domain.
I know of two open-source servers, Darwin Calendar Server and DAViCal. Might HostGator add one of these? (Probably the former since the latter requires PostgreSQL which you don't have.) |
