no it does not mean this , you can have unlimited people on your site of forum . this is concerning mysql databases

No, this only means that you cannot have more than 25 concurrent open database connections. When someone makes a request on the forum, it will open a database connection and close it immediately (unless persistent connections are used). So, the only way this would affect you is if 26 people on your forum clicked links simultaneously. Even then, only the 26th person would receive an error.

I plan on running phpbb,, that exclusivly uses MySQL database..
I'm worried with growth in the next year that this will become the issue..

If I under stand corectly.. its only when the page is loading? then the database closes?

Correct, only during the database query. So, as stated before all 26 users would have to click a link simultaneously for 1 of them to see an error. If you have that kind of traffic, your board is probably not appropriate for a shared environment.

Well we could only hope to get that big...
Right now we only have 46 users.. and most online was 20
But half of those were spiderbots from google. Which I have now banned because of bandwidth.
