Smile wanting to start a resller package

Hi there,

I am thinking of signing up as a resller - I am designing sites, and I would like to offer the whole package!

I must admit I haven't alot of knowledge with the server side of things - is it all easy enough to do?

I'd love any feedback please!

Working with WHM is quite easy, but if you need to use AutoPilot also that's a bit more tricky... but maybe you don't need it at all if you only design sites and just need places for them...

And these forums are a very good place to get advices, when you sign up you'll see more boards

Don't I need autopilot so I can bill clients?

Autopilot is one way to bill your clients, and I'm not saying that you shouldn't use it, but in case you don't need all (or most) of Autopilot's features you can maybe use something less complicated.

No, you can bill your clients the traditional way. As far as going reseller just to do both for your clients, it is a great idea. The problem is that the reseller account will cost more than you will make at first, so you need to be able to pay for it in the short term. After that, you should be able to migrate your existing clients over as their current accounts expire. I'm in the middle of doing that, which for me will take almost a year.
