I want to Upgrade my share host to VPS but I have questions

Hello

I have share plan ( Business ) . yesterday I recieved Ticket that my website make load on server , and showthread.php was suspended

I want to ask some question if I want to upgrade this plan to vps

1- is VPS Basic 2 plan enough to more than 100 GB monthly thransfer ?
2- share plan contain Cpanel , if I upgrade to VPS with Virtuozzo . is that any effect on emails , databases , files , etc ?
3- what about backup ??? do you backup weekly ??

1. Yes (see link below for plans)
2. The only effect I believe is how you create/manage things like email addresses, databases, and various items that you would have done via cpanel. You have to learn how to create/manage these things without using cpanel on level 1 and 2 or higher plans if you don't pay for cpanel.

I can't see how you could upgrade from a shared account to VPS Level 1 or 2.
HostGator will not do such a transfer, and you would be on your own running your site.

Since this service is new & things do change fast. I would suggest that you send an email to sales at hostgator.com & ask them about the up-to-date info.

My question is how? I am a Windows user and with my VPS Package 1, I can't even comprehend the environment. I am now pushing myself harder, links will help me survive this Linux thing.
