I think discounts are only with the original purchase but best to email sales at hostgator dot com for the official answer.

Coupon codes are for the first month only unless you want to do a big discount by applying the 20% off beach coupon code to an annual order.

Good thing Slapshotw started with "We take..."; Rick just said "methods are" which would inadvertently continue any ambiguity.

Occasionally, folks post in the reseller category who are surprised that they have to set up payment methods--somehow, they'd gotten the idea that they were good to go automatically. So I guess we'll hear later if these answers were for the wrong question.

OTH, s/he did ask about coupons, which probably indicates the answers were for the right question.
