VPS & Joomla

Hi, I hope I can get help with this question about a custom setup.

I plan to only run Joomla 1.5+ websites from a VPS level 3 Plan with cPanel could hostgator setup the VPS server with only the required software, ie - configuring the apache web server with only the neccessary sofware, extensions and modules?

Also would there be any extra charges for this and would this need to be asked for when signing up or could it be done after signing up?

If it can't be done by hostgator, maybe someone could point me in the right direction of a really good tutorial to setting up Apache Web Server for Joomla 1.5 using the easyapache method?

This is just speculation, but I would assume any non standard configurations would incur extra fees.

I guess if you mentioned it when you bought the server, HG would have set up the way you wanted. Now they might charge for chaging the set up. Just ,y guess, better contact the support.
