Is it possible to change the primary domain on my VPS account?
Reason being is that the current primary domain which is being used i am selling but i also have other sites on the server which i wish to remain on VPS. Thanks.

If you want to change that, for ex. to servername.anotherdomainname.com, you go to: WHM-> Networking Setup-> Change Hostname. After that you must contact HG support and ask them to change the hostname for the VPS container also, or it will revert back after next reboot. Also remember that there must be an A record for servername in the DNS zone of anotherdomainname.com, pointing to the primary IP (Main Shared Virtual Host IP) of your VPS.

Actually, I think the primary domain will be the domain you first bought the VPS with.
