I have another question hope someone here can help me out.

I would like to have a plan to host 4-5 wordpress sites, 2-3 joomla sites, and a couple of static sites. Couple of them are e-commerce sites and others are just information site.

Just wondering shall I stick with the shared hosting, or shall I sign up for the level3 VPS (which I intend to)?

I think normal HG coupons like HGC25 and SNOWMAN will work for VPS as well.

You can host 5-10 sites on a shared package easily. You will need a VPS server if you are getting lot of traffic - like thousands of visitos every day. If the sites are new and you are only expecting good traffic, start with a shared hosting package(paid monthly) and upgrade as you grow. A lot of people overestimate the traffic and end up paying for resources which they do not need.
