VPS BETA Ending

Thank you, everybody, for participating in our HostGator Linux VPS BETA. Our BETA service will be ending on October 28th, as our final product will be ready to launch in the next coming days.

Our pricing will start just under $20/mo. We'll offer preconfigured packages, and for those looking for more customization, we'll offer the ability to create your own package. These custom packages will give you full control over your VPS hardware and bandwidth specifications.

If you would like to continue to use your VPS, please PM me and we'll be happy to convert it to one of our upcoming packages. Pricing should be available next week.

Although I didn't have the time to test it very much, I'll try to do so more during the time left, I'm pretty sure it will be my next move.

What about the "move" from a reseller plan to VPS? will you move us? what are the estimated down time / cost? (if any).

Will bandwidth be throttled like shared hosting?

Just under $20 will get a VPS without cPanel. The smallest plan isn't recommended to install cPanel on, since the resources are a little too limited for it. It would be a good plan for small development projects, a couple of web sites, learning how to use Linux etc..
