These will likely be elementary questions, but I have to ask to satisfy my own concerns.
I am considering going with a VPS account here at HostGator. I administer several web sites for different organizations. Right now, the sites are scattered across different shared hosting accounts (not with HostGator). I see a VPS as a way to consolidate those shared accounts. My question has to do with email. Do the VPS accounts include access to a mail server? With a VPS account, do I set up email accounts using CPanel the way I do now? Would these email accounts be limited to the number of POP accesses per hour as with HostGator's shared hosting accounts? Thank you. |

Hello,
You aren't limited to how many e-mails you can send at one time with a VPS server. You aren't limited to how many times you can POP your accounts per hour either. |

Thanks, Dave.
What about my first two questions? |

A VPS account does include mail server software set up on the server and you can manage them with cPanel just as you do in a shared account as long as you choose the VPS Level 3 or higher account with cPanel. You would also have access to root WHM so you can set up the limits as you like (or remove them completely.)
