volt :: Scheduled Disk Replacement
Team,
volt will be coming down tonight at 00:00 CDT for a drive swap. We do apologize for the frustrations and inconveniences, however this must be done to ensure the integrity of the data in the array. The ETA for this procedure will be 20 - 45 minutes should everything go well. We will update this thread accordingly when we have more information. As always, we thank you for your patience during this time

Due to continuing issues with the server caused by the faulty drive in the RAID array, we are proceeding with this drive swap as soon as our datacenter has the new hardware ready. We will update this ticket again when the server is taken down. Thank you for your patience.

This server is back online now, however we are working on an issue with DNS at the moment so you may notice that sites are still down at this time. We will update this ticket when the issue has been resolved.

Just a quick update, you may notice the server is running a bit slow, this is due to the high disk I/O from the drive being rebuilt in the array. It is currently at 95% and should finish in the next couple hours. I apologize for the slow server response, we are trying our best to keep it to a minimum, but only so much can be done as it rebuilds. Once the rebuild is complete everything should be back to normal. Thanks for your patience in this matter.

Just to give a time-frame, as the priority of this rebuild has been lowered considerably to avoid high I/O issues, the rebuild is now at 97%.

The rebuild has been at 98% for nearly an hour now, so I believe an estimate of 7pm or a few minutes after should be safe. We are doing our best to keep this server under control until the rebuild is complete.
