Is this the correct forum to ask these questions?
1. Can you transfer or get an 808 area code number (Hawaii) 2. Is there a reseller program yet? 3. Do you have an online phone feature that you can tie into your account and make / receive phone calls through your computer? 4. Can you adjust the caller ID name? |

1) We do have the ability to offer new numbers in Hawaii but don't have that listed on our site because typically there is a lot of connection latency from Hawaii which would cause service quality issues.
If you ping voipo.com and see what the average ping time is, it should be less than 100 or you'll have issues with VoIP. Ultimately it depends on your ISP. If you have a good connection and want to try it, contact sales@voipo.com to order and we can issue a new number for you. We have them available in Honolulu, Hilo, and Kaunakakai. If you have a solid internet connection with good ping times to us and want to try it, keep in mind that we have a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee so you could get a full refund if it didn't work out for you as long as you return our adapter. 2) Our reseller program is going to be launched by the end of the year. It will allow you to sell pretty much all VOIPo services under your own brand. You'll buy the services wholesale from us and set your own pricing. We expect to be opening it up in BETA to existing VOIPo customers in a matter of weeks. We do have an affiliate program available now which allows you to earn commissions for sales. More Info: http://www.voipo.com/voipaffiliate/ 3) Yes, we do offer a softphone feature which allows you to use a software phone instead of our provided adapter. Once your adapter is connected the first time (this verifies that your shipping/billing address is valid) then the softphone info will appear in your VOIPo control panel under Features - Softphone. 4) It can't be changed in real-time, but in most areas we can make an adjust for you. The way the name works is that there are several major databases out there that companies use to lookup the name. When you get a call, your phone company quickly looks up the name in one of those main databases. The provider of the phone number can put a name in the database, but it takes a few week to fully update across all providers. In 98% of the US, we have the ability to insert or adjust the name in the database but in some smaller areas it's not supported.
