Toll-free fax numbers are available now.

Local fax numbers we have no solid ETA on, but it is something in the works. There are some patent issue with those that we are still addressing.

Non-US users can order service with a US number, but not a non-US number. There are a lot of legal issues and compliance issues that we have to deal with because telecom is very heavily regulated and that varies from country to country so there's a lot of time and expense to launch new countries because we have to be in compliance based on each one's laws.

So we don't "officially" offer service internationally for legal reasons. If you order it from us though with a US number and use it in another country though, we won't stop you. (hint)

One thing to keep in mind though is that latency is the biggest thing that will affect quality so it does depend somewhat on your connection to us.

trying to compare with callcentric - which would have been the choice if I did not see this thread.
btw, how is the quality?
how many concurrent calls are supported?
Any public accessible sip address?
etc...
I would like to use it for business if possible.

Actually the BETA closed several months ago and we're in the process of converting all customers to paid accounts if they want to stay and cleaning up from that.

We have about 1200 active numbers in the system and are seeing a huge response in terms of those that wish to keep their accounts. We're planning to wrap this up over the next 1-2 weeks.

We have also been accepting paid signups for the last few weeks from interested customers that contacted us directly asking for info. If anyone wants to order service and cannot wait, feel free to e-mail sales@voipo.com and we can take your order now.

The designers are working on finishing up the site and we're also working on promotional materials which will address most of your pre-sales questions.

We expect to fully open things up in stages starting with the VIP Launch Group very soon (within 2 weeks is my estimate). From there we'll gradually increase availablility and expect things to be in full swing by the end of September.

From the sales we've been getting, we've been able to identify a few areas which could be bottlenecks in terms of order processing (particularly with shipping equipment) and have been able to make some changes to streamline how we handle orders. We've also been able to get a better feel for issues that will come up with initial setup since a wider range of customers have been coming into play given that most of our BETA users were experienced VoIP users. Lastly, we have to wait on more equipment to come in so we're stocked and ready to ship phone adapters out for a large number of users. The VIP Launch group is quite large and we expect a huge number of orders from that when we let everyone there know the service is now available.

Overall, you'll see things being phased in over the next few weeks and we anticipate everything coming together to be in full swing during Septemer/October.

Again, we are accepting pre-orders now for anyone who can't wait. All common questions will be answered on the website which is being wrapped up now. For the time being, contact sales@voipo.com for info.

Hi Tim,

The reseller program will be launched shortly after all direct services. That way we can iron our any issues and bottlenecks that come up ourselves instead of having resellers do so with their clients.

Depending on how well the direct rollout goes, I anticipate the reseller program will be added to the mix 1-2 months later.

Each country has its own set of complex legal guidelines and requirements. For that reason, we're focusing on the US at this point and will "officially" launch in the US only. If someone outside of the US wants to use the service with a US number, we don't stop them from doing so, but it'll only officially be offered in the US and later Canada for the time being.

Here's a general update for everyone:

We ended the BETA in months ago and have been quietly accepting paid orders since September in pre-launch. Things have went very well. We've been able to iron out a lot of issues during that time mostly with logistics (shipping, etc). Anyone interested in ordering early is welcome to get the info from the pre-launch forum threads (see links on VOIPo.com) and do so. We've kept some of the info intentionally hard to find to limit sales volume to a reasonable volume over the last few months.

On December 1 (about a week and a 1/2 from now), we'll be launching the full VOIPo.com website and will be officially announcing the launch to everyone on the VIP Launch List.

Then over the weeks that follow, we'll slowly be ramping up public marketing to everyone outside of that list and announcing a few key, very unique things that we are doing jointly with HostGator.

VOIPo has consistently been ranked the #1 VoIP Provider by BroadbandReports.com in all areas including call quality, features, reliability, and support for months now only moving out of the #1 spot for one week. With that being said, we think you'll agree that it was worth the wait.

If anyone has specific questions between now and December 1st, please feel free to e-mail sales@voipo.com. During pre-launch, we have sales reps available from 9AM-6PM Central Time M-F. This will be eventually expanded overtime to 24/7 as the launch progresses.

Thanks for the interest.

Right now, we're only "officially" launching in the US.

While we have the ability to issue numbers in Canada, there's still a lot of legal stuff we have to do in terms of complying with regulations there before we officially start selling service there.

It's definitely something that will be coming, but I don't have a solid estimate for you.

Also, in terms of the affiliate program, what's the deal and compensation structure? Can we set our own pricing as a reseller, or is it fixed commission as an affiliate?
