Please refer my old thread http://forums.hostgator.com/need-som...ng-t94897.html
The suggestions i mentioned there were not yet implemented. Today i ordered a Dedicated server and having issues on making payment. I wanted to pay my invoice partially using Paypal and the remaining using Credit Card. But the payment i'm making is automatically getting credited into an Invoice which i never wanted to be.... Also still my VPS is getting suspended if i fail to Pay the invoice generated for my Reseller Hosting or Dedicated server. Why this is ??? Please fix this issue very soon... |

I concur.
Beginning as far back as last June, we were promised some wide ranging improvements and more flexible "on demand" payment options once the changeover to new system had been completed. (See this thread and this one, among others.) What has happened with GatorDrew anyhow? Is he still around? A few changes, such as the ability to delete added email addresses, have been carried out as promised, but the more important self-selectable payment option improvments have not. We're still at the mercy of rigidly fixed invoice amounts and dates which are going to raise bloody hell once HG's new registrar service is in place, believe me! The time for a wake-up call to the idée fixe pencil pushers and bean counters is long overdue! My own last payment, for example, was incorrectly billed to my credit card instead of the Paypal subscription that I had set up six months previously -- possibly because it's a fixed amount subscription (instead of the promised on demand flexibilty) and that particular due amount was different from the amount set. Who knows? But, in any case, could we please have a progress update.

It looks like we got you fixed up yesterday afternoon.
With the new billing system it does apply payment to the invoice with the earliest due date first. We would have some people pick and choose what invoice they wanted they pay and with some of the invoices that weren't tied to a specific billing package they would just sit around forever not getting paid. So that is why it works that way...
