Lightbulb User passwords

I would like to allow my users to be able to change their own passwords versus having to tell their passwords to the admin to be changed. Can that functionality be added to a future version? It seems terribly unsecure to force people to share their passwords.

I looked at this and tried to get it to work but it wont for me (though that could be because my DNS settings still aren't right or whatever...)

But if you wanna try it, good luck. :]

From This page.

Changing Email Passwords Without Access to cPanel

If you have a number of users, you are not likely to want all of them to be able to access cPanel. On the other hand, for security reasons as well as personal preference, you want your users to be able to change their email passwords for themselves. As noted earlier (see "Webmail," above), this can be done from the webmail interface.
The user would browse to http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail
The user signs in by entering his entire email address as his username (e.g. joe@yourdomain.com), as well as the existing password in the appropriate field.
On the main webmail page, there is a link at bottom left for "Change Password." Follow the link, and enter the new password (twice, for the sake of confirmation).
If the user loses his password and thus cannot sign in to webmail, you can create a new one via cPanel and provide it to him; he can then sign in to webmail and create a new password.

I just made a new account - The reason it wasn't working is because I used my default.

If a user goes to www.yourdomain.com/webmail, there are 6 icons below where you choose your mail client... One of those is change password. :]

No fair! I was about to post that! I'll get you next time my pretty
Also, if you login with the cPanel account, you can goto Mail > Add/Remove/Manage Accounts, and click Change Password next to the one you want to change.

Ya, not really understanding this thread... users can easily change their own passwords.
