Question Is the upload "capped" even for FTP programs?

Hello all,
I'm trying to upload a .avi moviefile on my sisters horses and it cannot be done.
My DreamWeaver starts to upload and then just stops. The Cpanel upload has a 25mb limit, are there more limits you ain't telling on the : http://www.hostgator.com/shared.shtml : ?

I have a buisness account by the way.

as far as I know, cpanel's upload limit is for http and not FTP. you should be able to upload bigger files with FTP.

have you tried using a different FTP client, other than the Dreamweaver's?

try so, and be sure that the FTP user (or even main user) is not over quota

Hello,
There is no file size limit per upload via FTP. It is only limited by what your FTP client and your quota can handle.

What a great mental image! The picture of someone standing up on two horses, trying to upload movies, woke up my dog (and would make a good commercial for something).

On a more serious note, you may need to look deep into the FTP settings for either dreamweaver or another FTP app to increase time out, perhaps size, and other possibly relevant settings such as resume.
