Upgrade to Reseller

Its been a year + a day I'm with this company & its time for me to move to a reseller plan.

I read pretty much about it on the site & on the forum.

I still have some questions about it.

1.- Does Hostgator upgrade my account automatically? or do I have to transfer / upgrade by myself. I would like to point to some stuff too.-
- There are emails & databases in my current account, are they automatically transfered? I do care about the emails more.
- The names of the databases have to change on the new server? I'm asking this because the databases on my server have "mydomain_" prefix.
- I will use another domain (other than the current one, which is set as main domain) as my main domain for the reseller account, is it possible? & does it cause any conflict if the update is automatic?


2.- From what I read, with reseller account I get a free Paypal merchant account with debit card & 1.5% cash back. Do I still get this offer even if the country I'm in (Lebanon), is not currently supported by Paypal??

It is ok with me, if I get paid & pay back using Paypal, I don't need the money to be transfered to my bank account.


3.- Do I get a Private SSL with the reseller account?, on the reseller page it is noted by http://hostgator.com/images/check.gif, but in the info http://hostgator.com/images/i.gif it says "You are welcome to provide us with the SSL and we will install it for a $30 charge, or you can purchase one directly from us for $75.00. (Recommended)"


4.- What is the version of MySQL installed on the reseller servers?

5.- As a conclusion, if paypal works, everyhting needed to start to sell domains & hosting online is provided with this plan, right?

Any info, suggestion & feedback is appreciated.

HG will transfer all accounts for you to a dedicated server. Don't know for sure everything will be updated if your domain name changes. You can contact sales to be sure.

It doesn't mean that HG offers the free PayPal account. It's just a reference to PayPal, explaining the possibilities. You can get the PayPal account by signing up at PayPal.com, and then you can get the debit card for free. However, I'm not sure it's available in Lebanon. Check paypal.com.

The "V" means you can have Private SSL on the reseller accounts, but it's not included. Price is as indicated with "?".

Some are v4.0.25, some are v4.1. You can ask support to update to v4.1 if needed.

Right. You'll have the reseller account, WHM AutoPilot, website templates and an enom account to register domain names.
