Unhappy Upgrade Apache/2.2.11

I don't understand why hostgator does not upgrade to 2.2.11. There are a LOT of other web hosts that have this.

Can someone give me a date that they will implement this.

In March I'd say.

Do you need it, or just want it?

Fin is right... year TBD though.

I don't need it. But I have an obsession of being up to date.

About the only way to guarantee this would be to have a dedicated server. With the number of shared servers that HG has it takes time to update all to the latest versions. Personally I never update when the new versions come out until after I am able to see if there are new bugs in the updates. I especially wait some time after a new cPanel version comes out.

That said, since Keith said that servers he is on have the latest version you could submit a ticket to support and ask them to check your server for the PHP version. It could be that an automatic update failed and support would need to know the server # to check it. The admins don't monitor the forums regularly.

We try not to just upgrade to the latest version unless there is a major security issue with a piece of software. However, as we are in the process of placing FastCGI support on all of our Shared and Reseller servers, your server should be upgraded either tonight or Monday night at the latest.
