Default Unlimited Domains? Swamp Gator Plan.

Hello, I just wanted to know how this is handled in th CPanel. I have about 5 domains all are for different type of website businesses. I need to know how my files would be organized, would I only have one directory or can create seperate directories for each domains and their files. Can I create seperate logins for each domain name or? What would be the best way to handle multiple domains and their files in the CPanel.

Thanks,

Future Customer

why don't you take a look at resellers plans, you get a different cpanel for each domain, if this is what you were looking for, I'm really happy with mine.

I'd also like to know how the unlimited domains are managed on the non-reseller plans.

On the non reseller plans they are addon domains. You have one control panel that controls all files and sites. Every time you addon a domain it creates a sub directory in the main accounts public_html folder. This is were all the files would need to go.

I hope this helps you .

From reading http://www.hostlibrary.com/node/view/16 how does the add-on domain work? Is there any frame based redirection?
Perhaps an example might help - if I want to host my domain xxxx, would a add-on domain be suitable if my brother wished to host yyyy and we wished share a plan - but with effectively separate websites?

Thanks!!

Nick

You can have 2 registered domains: f.e. mydomain.com and brotherdomain.com. One can be considered as the 'main domain' that is directly linked with your account (of the shared plan). Say that one is mydomain.com. Then, from within your account's cPanel, you can create the addon domain www.brotherdomain.com. Each domain can have subdomains, it's own email accounts, ftp accounts, etc. But all configuration will have to be done from within the cPanel of your main account (ie you will only have one cPanel).

Hope this makes things clearer,
Stef.

With the Swamp each would have its own directory although the add on domains would be sub directories in the main directory for the primary domain. Yes you can create seperate logins.

If you really want a divided seperate solution a reseller plan would be the best bet though.

Question Re: Unlimited Domains? Swamp Gator Plan.

"Host unlimited sites on every plan!! (limited time)" - does this mean there will be some charges on add-on domain after the time offer is off.

Do you provide shopping cart services.

If you sign up during this promotional period, then you will have unlimited add-on domains for as long as you remain a customer. No extra charges.

There are several shopping cart scripts within our versions of CPanel.

It could last a year, or could end tomorrow.
