Default 'Unlimited domains', meaning...?

Sorry if this seems like a silly question. I am looking at the Baby Croc hosting package. I currently have one site hosted with Hostgator. I have two other sites, all different sites with different domain names. Am I able though the regular hosting package to host all these sites on one account? Or does 'unlimited domains' only apply to domains that are all redirecting to the same website? And to host three different websites I would have to purchase three separate accounts, or a reseller account?

And, does 'unlimited domains' on the reseller account mean I could make unlimited accounts and thus unlimited separate domains/websites?

No you don't need to do that.

Yes it does within the disk / bandwidth limits for the reseller account you choose.

Thank you for a quick response!

Is there a tutorial for setting up separate domains this way?

Just to clarify, I don't want a redirect or subdomains. But when I was looking at the control panel, I couldn't figure out how to add a new domain without making it a redirect or subdomain.

It's called an Addon Domain.

Try this link. http://support.hostgator.com/index.p...&nav=0,75,3,14

Regarding "unlimited domains", pay close attention to Terms of Service, items 7a, 7b, and 8.

Also note that when using Add-On Domains, there is only one cPanel account used to manage all your domains/sites. So whoever has access to that one cPanel account has access to all sites/files/email.

Regarding hosting "all these sites on one account", read TOS item 11.

Other than that, yes, you can host unlimited number of sites/domains.

There's not just disk and bandwidth limitations, but there are also limitations on how busy your sites can be (eg, how many database connections they make).

With a reseller account, all accounts under that will have exactly the same limitations. Limitations on database connections on a reseller account will not have an effect on how many domains you can host under your reseller account. Each account will have a limit of 25 concurrent connections.
