Hi all. I'm a new HostGator customer, however I have lots of expierience with their staff before.
Generally about a few years back, the support staff were efficient and they resolved a few of my issues relatively quickly (I was a tech support member for a busy website) Fast forwarding a few years, I've got my own reseller hosting, and have had a few issues again with HostGator, however this time, they were not resolved anywhere as quickly. My hosting account was down due to a server upgrade, however I added a ticket as soon as I realised this downtime (just happened to be that I was working on my site at that time). The negative side is that it took 10 HOURS for them to reply to my ticket, and then the issue was resolved relatively quickly. I feel that the HostGator staff are excellent, however as with any growing business, more staff is needed. So if any HostGator staff read this, maybe at your next staff meeting, suggest that employing more teenage kids who can answer "How do I set up a mail forwarder?"And let the smart adults deal with the harder stuff... Just my 2 cents worth, from another problem customer. But just a note, I do like the service here, just the delay between the problem arising and a resoloution is normally to high for a big company like HostGator. Thanks again, Tobias

We've been doing upgrades recently to the newest versions of mysql, php, and easy apache. These upgrades are causing support to be overwhelmed at times. We hope to have the upgrades completed very soon which will allow our response time to drop back down to a few minutes.
