nOOb here. First let me say that you guys are very informative and it seems that almost everybody is leaving a positive feedback about the service.
On to my questions:1) I'm considering buying the reseller package for $25 dollars. How can I make money? Selling hosting to people or businesses that do not have a site yet? 2) Ok, so let's say that I have my first client and the person doesn't know a thing about computers but is interested in a site. I would be able to provide everything required for a site including site maintenance (updating info and all that good stuff) for a fee right? 3) In the package they say that you guys support audio streaming but then in the forum and in the TOS I read that commercial streaming is not allowed. Does that mean then that I can't tell people that they'll have their own internet radio station? So my question is, what kind of audio streaming is supported? The ones that do not have commercials? (sorry for my ignorance guys) 4) I don't understand how domain names work in terms of creation. Let's say that I come up with one that nobody has, do I still have to purchase it through HG even though it was me that created it and not HG? 5) Checking out the bandwith for the $25 dollar package they say this: 250,000mb 250gb What does that mean in terms on how many users can be logged in the sites at the same time? 6) Do you guys plan do to a webinar on selling and selling ideas for the benefit of us nOObs out there? Thank you in advance for your answers. |

What services you provide, like site maintenance, is at your discretion. Yes, you can offer everything including website templates, domain names, transfers, etc., if you join the proper affiliate programs, to your clients for a complete web service at what ever price you decide. After you purchase the space, what you charge for it and/or your services is your decision. Quote:
"We will let you stream video, audio, etc. Just be aware that the servers are configured for webhosting, and not commercial streaming. If there are too many connections being held open by clients streaming video, or if the load starts to get too high, you will need to consider a dedicated server (probably 10-20 connected streams will start to impact server performance.)" No, if you think of an available name you do not have to go through HG to purchase it. You can use a domain registar like enom. Even more so, if you signup for a domain reseller account your domain names will only be $8.95 a year. Quote:
Shared and reseller accounts are on shared servers, you share them with other clients, so there is a connection limit on these plans. However i do not have that number in my head at the moment but i'm sure someone will correct me and post it. But i can say that i run a small forum testing service out of a swamp shared plan and at times there are 1,000 people on it at the same time and it never reaches the limit. Of course there not actually connecting at the same time, i think the limit 25 at a time. Quote:

Please allow me to add to the streaming question:
Our streaming is http streaming (similar to the streaming done via Quicktime and Windows media player). We do not support (or allow) servers such as Shoutcast or Icecast on our shared/reseller servers.
