I have been trying to access my webdisk using Nautilus (on Ubuntu 9.04) - I keep getting the same error. I have scoured the Ubuntu forums for a solution and I'm beginning to think that is a host issue perhaps.
Opening a location as instructed by the HostGator cPanel https://website.com:2078/ does not work I have tried "connect to server" using secure WebDAV and I get the following error. Could not display "davs://user%40website.com@https//website:2078". Error: HTTP Error: Cannot resolve hostname Please select another viewer and try again Could HTACCESS possibly cause a problem like this? |

Jason,
.htaccess should not be accessed if you are using port 2078. Can you resolve your website from the command prompt in ubuntu? nslookup website.com What does that return? it looks like it just cannot find your website. Also this line: davs://user%40website.com does not look correct. Check out this post on Ubuntu forums if you have not already, it is about webdav and is resolved: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=761474
