Hi there
I am based in the UK and want to use hostgator for hosting. But it appears that I cannot register as your form does not accept my Postcode (zip code). Also it does not give me the option of purchasing a .co.uk domain name. Are you for America only? |

Hi there,
I'm in the UK and have had no problems so far. I'm not sure about the zip code problem, mine is standard seven digits and I created a hatchling account without trouble. I don't think HG support .co.uk, so you can use another registrar for your domain name. I am using 1&1 with no problems, I think GoDaddy do .co.uk and there was a post by Gwyneth last week with a discount code there. Don't use EasySpace, they tried to charge me more than nominet to change my IPS tag. Once you've registered your domain name, change the name servers to point to HG while you wait for it to populate. Then as soon as the domain is available your site will be ready to go. J. |

If you have problems, contact sales@hostgator.com because there are many UK users around here, including our friend above.

Quote:
BTPS50 50% off .co.uk There are many excellent reasons to use different firms to register domains and buy hosting, and a lot of HG's U.S. customers register domains elsewhere. (That's not to imply anything about the quality of HG's domain registration services--it's just sensible to keep registration and hosting separate.)
