Two More Questions

I think I have a handle on my Joomla questions. However, I have two more questions. Are the versions list here correct?

If it is any plans on MySql 5.X?

Also, I have my choice down to HG and LunarPages. Most of the offerings are very close - LP offers free domains, HG is $1 a month cheaper (looking at the two lowest plans), LP offers more space and bandwidth, etc...

So the question is what really differentiates HG from LunarPages (e.g., number of sites per server, uptime, speed, crazy ass emoticons, etc....)? My site is a low volume Soccer Club Site that runs Joomla/Gallery.

Before making a decision head over to http://webhostingtalk.com and search for reviews for HG and LP. You will find a lot more positive reviews for HG over LP.

So just good support. Don't get me wrong that is important, but if you have a crappy datacenter like MidPhase your support is not going to do me any good <grin>.

I'm not a lawyer but I don't see any resource caps listed in LP's TOS. I know they do it, but I/m a little concerned with the 24%. Not the number of hits on my site but just bad addins for Joomla.

HostGator are in ThePlanet.com's datacenter, which is a world class datacenter

I used to be with Midphase before HG... crappy, I left... been here three years next month.

Thanks guys. I take http://webhostingtalk.com posts and google search counts for lunarpages sucks and hostgator sucks with a grain of salt - LOL. I'm actually leaning toward HG and the coupons do help. My Midphase account is up in March, So I still have sometime to eval. There are a lot of positive reviews concerning HG in the Joomla forums. Thanks again.
