Question Two dofferent person using one hosting.

Hello.
I want to ask question about the unlimited ad on domain feature. What if i own one account with hostgator for example baby croc package. My domain name is www.first.com. My question is, what if one of my friend who have one domain name but don't have hosting yet, he wants to host in my hosting package. For example his domain name is www.second.com. So, if i add his domain as add on domain features, will we be sharing same cpanel or not? What i mean is, will there be any possibility that he can get access to my www.first.com cpanel or not? Because www.second.com is not mine. Its his domain and first.com is mine. So i dont want him to have access to my cpanel also he don't want me to have access to his cpanel. Can it happen that way?

With addon domains there is only one cPanel for all the domains. You could give your friend FTP access to only his domain, but not cPanel.

Reseller accounts have different cPanels for each domain, but if all you really need to give him access to is FTP then the addon will be fine; then, you just setup a new FTP account with access only to that directory.

Err... one more question. I think even add on domain cannot create mySQL database or email accounts on their own, the primary domain admin can do it for them. So, as the admin of the primary domain, how can we create MySQL or email account for the add on domain? I couldnt see any database creation for add on in the MySQL manu...

Create emails as you normally would but choose the addon domain in the dropdown while doing so. mysql doesn't care which domain it is being used by, so create it and give the login info to the addon domain owner.

Are you trying to sell the space of ur account??? Then you try their reseller hosting... or if you are giving to ur friend personally then add his domain to ur account using the add on domain fetaure from cPanel and then create and FTP account so that its safe for you and you may craete an email account for him... But cPanel or Hostgator doesnt allow more than one users... to the cPanel or u will have to share ur id and password...
