transfer website from my host to hostgator

hi,

i have a website hosted on another host which is right now around 1 gb in size with various kind of data in it. I want it transferred to hostgator but i don't have a good internet connection to download all 1 gb and upload it on gator servers again.

what can be done? if there is a possibility, i would love to buy the plans of hostgator.
