My compliments to the Transfers Department gang with a special nod to Robin who did the actual transfer and Mikael who quickly spotted and fixed the only problem that I experienced at the end of the process. It was due to some .htaccess issues that arrived with the full cPanel transfer from my previous hosting service. Since I'm not a *nix server "expert" myself I needed some help to identify and correct that single problem. Mikael's response was immediate and effective and he even provided a very helpful reminder about how I could using my Windoze hosts file for checking my site with its primary domain name pending completion of DNS propagation. That's what I call truly helpful help. Now, if I can just get my Netquery utility's ping and traceroute functions working as promised, ... But that's a separate issue and the ticket is in the works. If the sysadmin group is half as good as the transfer folks, we've got it made!

Brilliant! Fantastic! I can't keep up with these guys. The sysadmins have already got my Netquery utility working as promised and they actually modified some server settings to do it. Unheard of!
to Josh J and colleagues for your efforts. Unfortunately, I could only give you a "10" 'cuz there's no "11" on the rating scale.

They are very well deserved kind words. Obviously Host Gator's people actually give a damn about the people who use their systems and services. That kind of business ethic is almost unique in my recent experience, especially amongst the so-called "IT Professionals" typically found in today's corporate environment. I know because I employed some of them myself before I retired recently. You must also have an incredibly good management team to inspire that kind of "user friendly" responsiveness.
