how to transfer domain
hi i want to purchase hosting here but before that i have a question
i have a domain name registered at godaddy i want to shift that the domain from godaddy to hostgator so can u plz guide me how can all this can be done thnx

Do you have a domain & hosting at godaddy??
Please note that the doamin name & Hosting are two different things.

ok. Hostgator does provide Hosting & they will transfer your files for FREE (as far as I know). A quick Live Chat (the cute lady @ the top right of this page) will give you an official answer.
As for the domain name, HG is not a domain registrar & they do their domain name registrations via enom. you can transfer the domain name to enom. Usually the domain name registration comes with a "fee" that includes one year renewal of the domain too.
