Positive Three's a Charm

I'm sure that there are all kinds of users with all kinds of different criteria for judging web hosts, so let me say at the outset that the number one thing I look at is PERFORMANCE.

When I see my website's often image intense pages pop onto the screen almost as fast as looking at them locally, I know that I'm dealing with a web host I like.

The next thing I look at is SUPPORT.

Are support personnel technically skilled? Are they quick? Are they polite? (Can I understand their accent?) I do not expect instant answers or solutions. I know perfectly well a problem I have might be my own fault; it might be complicated; it might be obscure. I do expect a sincere effort to help. I can take the truth.

And so when I deal with support personal who are sincere, I know I'm dealing with a web host I like.

The third thing I look at is COST.

Sure, you get what you pay for. But when you get high performance and a great support system for the same or cheaper than anyone else around, I know I'm dealing with a web host I like.

Well, I LOVE Hostgator.

The servers are fast, the support staff are great, and the cost is a deal.

Reading through the reviews here and elsewhere, I can only conclude that web hosting must be one tough, tough business. The folks at Hostgator manage to succeed in all the respects that matter to me. Well done, and thank you.
