The ability to subscribe to certain forums, especially the Network Status one would be handy.
I thought phpBB allowed that function, but I can't find it...have you (Hostgator) turned it off? M.

It's there, just kinda hard to see. Under the New Topic and Post Reply buttons look for a small link to "Watch this topic for Replies".
 I'd like to switch over to vBulletin for our forums soon, as it offers more in the way of features and even allows you to subscribe to individual threads. *edit. Just noticed that this link only appears on threads, not for entire forums.

Yeah, it allows you to watch individual topics, but not whole forums for new posts. I have missed a few relevant posts about my server because I'm not on the forums 24/7...
vBulliten would be the way to go, but I have seen the cost - yikes!

Forum notification will be supported in phpBB2.2 if I'm correct.
There are also some mods that should make this possible, like: http://www.phpbbhacks.com/viewhack.php?id=293 http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic...t=notification Haven't tried this myself, so I don't know there are any known probs for these. vBulletin would be nice though Bye, Stef.
